Within the Materials Research Team, you will be mainly responsible for material and media programs primary for the Engine BU and support for other BU's and some other activities listed below in more detail.
Media and Material Development, Evaluation Validation: prospect, set up specifications, managing validation and approval of new or changed materials (e.g. filter media, liners, plastics, PUR, adhesives, sealants, rubber, steel, alloys, coating, paints).
Product Engineering support / Consulting:
Ensure, facilitate and maintain good efficient communication with plants, internationalentities and the Product Management team regarding materials, Substance Of Concern, test evaluation technologies.
Assist engineers to select media material and predict performances.
Present new technologies/development to customers.
Support Knowledge management for Engineering concerning validation, selection and use of different materials.
Technologies / Synergies:
Keep up-to-date of new relevant technologies.
Identify, recommend and help to deploy new technologies to enhance our products and working practices.
Plant Purchasing support:
Co-operate with manufacturing, vendors and suppliers to improve processes (robustness), fix issues, reduce costs and support new product implementation (plant liaison). Maximize design for manufacture-ability.
Investigate field returned parts or parts failing during development. Identify root causes recommend solutions.

We are looking for a master in chemical engineering with a first experience in an engineering position.
Good physics (mechanical, materials, filtration media) chemical background.
Understanding of Air and Liquid Filtration is a major asset.
Good understanding of Engineering Manufacturing methods, capabilities and materials.
Strong in problem analysis and solving.
Statistical tools (6 Sigma).
Good project Management skills.
Proficiency in English.
Good communication skills.
Good commercial understanding of the overall program and balance between investment, risks and results.
Complete understanding of company policies, operating systems and procedures.
